Bush and 'reality'
Apologies for not posting for a while.
I am getting back to this as a trial is coming up in the UK under the Official Secrets Act about a memo leaked to the Daily Mirror that may be about a discussion on bombing the offices of Al Jazeera. Some of the trial may be in secret. I find it strange that few newspapers sem to be interested. The fact it will be in secret has only been reported in the UK Guardian, as far as I know.
Meanwhile Dan Froomkin is discussing how Bush regards adverse reporting. The Al Jazeera issue is just one example of how the Iraq war has been reported. At least Bush decided to release more of the document recently under discussion. In the UK the culture of secrecy is much more guarded by government. If the memo is published, I think it could be in the US.
